Classes

The school has developed different programs to teach Bangla language and culture. Apart from textbook and classroom teaching of the Bangla language and Islamic education, the children taught various cultural activities such as songs, dances and drama. The weekly classes strongly emphasizes formal reading and writing, however, this is done through stories, poems, games and other material relevant to the interests of the different aged students.

Assignment

Homework is provided at the end of each class and it is expected that the homework will be completed on a regular basis before the next lesson.The school also reviews the monthly homeworks at the end of the month.

Study Tours

Study Tours:
Every year the school arranges a self-financed field trip at the end of the summer session for Bangla School students to explore their knowledge in different subjects. The main goal of the field trip is to get together, explore ideas and knowledge together.

Cultural Activities & Picnic

Apart from teaching Bengala Language, Religious Lessons, the school orgainses different Bangaladeshi events such as Ekushey February, Bangladesh Independence day, Pohela Boishak (Bangala New Year) etc alone or sometimes in collaboration with the parent organisation, Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra Inc. The school also organises other annual events such as Picnic (bonbhojon) and participates in ACT Community Language Schools Association events and the National MultiCultural Festival.
